The twenty-first Prix du Roman Fnac (Fnac Fiction Prize) has been awarded to Sarah Jollien-Fardel for her debut novel Sa préférée (The Favorite), published by Sabine Wespieser. She follows Jean-Baptiste Del Amo, who won in 2021 for Le fils de l’homme (The Son of Man), published by Gallimard.
The Swiss author Sarah Jollien-Fardel has been awarded this year’s Prix du Roman Fnac, the prize that sets the trend at the start of the new literary season. Her powerful and poignant debut novel about female emancipation and the burden of a violent past won over the jury of 400 Fnac members and 400 Fnac booksellers.
The Prix du Roman Fnac is part of the brand’s commitment to uncover and support as many emerging talents as possible.
Sarah Jollien-Fardel will receive her award on Thursday, September 8, 2022 during a special evening event at the Théâtre du Châtelet, also featuring Isabelle Carré and Dominique A.
