Google Cloud Summit — Fnac Darty, a Major Retailer in the Innovation Race

The user/customer experience remains the Group’s priority and the new opportunities offered by the data provide a powerful springboard to offer new services with high added value to all our stakeholders.

Speaking at the Google Cloud Summit held on May 13 at the Accor Arena in Paris, Enrique Martinez highlighted that, “Data was at the heart of Fnac Darty’s transformation, and it can rely on Google Cloud to take the next step.” In a reflection of what has already been initiated via its marketplaces with a more efficient digital experience —provision of nearly 20 million product quality sheets, 80% of products submitted by the marketplace merchant sites validated in less than 24 hours, complete automation of our SEA campaigns— Fnac Darty is no stranger to innovation. It now seeks to go further, with the following priorities in 2024:

  • training all employees in AI with the support of the Google ecosystem: sales, customer relations, digital, marketing, supply, etc.;
  • the scaling-up of high-impact use cases: Productivity & Customer experience;
  • demonstrating leadership on products and services with embedded AI: the benchmark for customers and suppliers.

Data control is a priority for Fnac Darty and an essential component in the development of Weavenn, the joint venture combining the know-how and expertise of Fnac Darty and CEVA Logistics (of the CMA CGM Group).
