With over 25 years’ experience in retail in Spain, Portugal and France, Enrique Martinez has made a major contribution to the transformation of the Fnac Darty group into a European leader in specialized retail. With the Everyday strategic plan launched in 2021, Enrique Martinez has affirmed his ambition to make Fnac Darty a benchmark in sustainable and responsible retail by offering high value-added services to its customers. The Group now has 30,000 employees and has emerged stronger from the pandemic thanks to its powerful and recognized omnichannel model.
A graduate in Economics from the IESE Business School in Madrid, Enrique Martinez joined Fnac in 1998 with the mission of establishing and developing the brand in Portugal. He then held various positions within Fnac between Spain and Portugal, before joining the Executive Committee in 2004, as General Manager for the Iberian zone. In 2012, Enrique Martinez took over as Managing Director for France and Northern Europe (France, Belgium, Switzerland). Chief Executive Officer of the Fnac Darty Group and member of its Board of Directors since 2017, Enrique Martinez led the first synergies and integration projects between Fnac and Darty, and more recently completed the acquisition of Unieuro in Italy, of which he became Chairman in 2025.
