With a degree in Economics and having graduated from the IESE Business School in Madrid,
Enrique Martinez started his career at Toys “R” Us.
He joined Fnac in 1998, tasked with establishing and developing the brand in Portugal. He then
held various positions within Fnac in both Spain and Portugal, before joining the Executive
Committee in 2004 as Chief Executive Officer for the Iberian Region.
In 2012, Enrique Martinez took over leadership of the brand for the France and Northern Europe
region (France, Belgium and Switzerland).
Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Fnac Darty and member of the Board of Directors in 2017,
Enrique Martinez led the first synergies and integration projects between Fnac and Darty while
also seeing acquisitions such as those of Nature & Découvertes and WeFix to completion.
In early 2021, Enrique Martinez launched a new strategic plan: Everyday, with the goal of
making Fnac Darty a benchmark in sustainable and responsible retail by offering high-value-
added services for its customers.
With more than 25 years of experience in retail across Europe, Enrique Martinez has been
instrumental in the transformation of the Group, which has 25,000 employees and emerged
from the pandemic stronger thanks to its powerful and renowned omnichannel model.
