Daniela Weber-Rey

Holding a Master’s Degree in Law from Columbia University, New York, and the Franco-German University (UFA), Daniela Weber-Rey was admitted to the Frankfurt Bar in Germany in 1984 and the New York Bar in 1986. For nearly 30 years, Daniela Weber-Rey was an attorney and partner with the legal firm of Pünder Volhard & Weber, followed by Clifford Chance. She also served as Counsel to various European organizations, and served for fi ve years on the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas. She is a member of the Governmental Commission of the German Corporate Governance Code, a member of the Board of the European Corporate Governance Institute and a consultant at the Franco-German University (UFA). She is also a member of the Board of the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE and a non-executive member of the Board of HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG. Between 2013 and 2016, Daniela Weber-Rey worked at Deutsche Bank AG as Chief Governance Officer and Deputy Global Head of Compliance. She was made a Knight of the French Legion of Honor in 2010 for her commitment to Franco-German relations.
